Rasterizer
Software 3D pipeline, zero packages
What it is
A 3D renderer written from scratch in Dart: procedural meshes (icosphere, torus, trefoil knot), model→view rotation matrices, perspective projection, backface culling, depth-sorted painter's algorithm, flat and Gouraud shading, and a live performance HUD — all rasterised through drawVertices with no engine and no packages.
- Dart
- Linear algebra
- drawVertices
Under the hood
- Software pipeline in pure Dart: model→view→project→screen, back-face culling and painter's-algorithm depth sorting — no engine, no packages.
- Procedural icosphere, torus and trefoil-knot meshes, shaded flat or Gouraud and rasterised through drawVertices.
- Orbit/pinch camera plus a live frame-time HUD. Mesh generators are covered by 20 headless assertions.
Honest notes
- No depth buffer — intersecting triangles can pop, which painter's algorithm cannot resolve.
